JAPAMALAS WITH NATURAL STONES

JAPAMALAS WITH NATURAL STONES

The Mala is a rosary containing 108 beads. It is used for chanting and reciting at the same time or mentally repeating the name of a deity, a practice known in Sanskrit as JAPA. Hindu tradition holds that the correct way to use a mala is with the right hand, with the thumb pushing the ball to the next, and with the mala covering more than half a finger. The index finger represents the ego, the greatest impediment to self-realization, so it is considered best to avoid it (as is the case with the ego) when chanting with a mala.

Mystical bead necklaces are said to have many magical properties. Yogis and mystics said that these beads acted by giving better blood circulation, better heart function and enlightenment of consciousness.
